Hello and welcome to my website! I am a currently a PhD candidate in Public Policy at American University.

I'm a quantitative policy scholar specializing in local and state-level housing policy and politics. My work is interdisciplinary, drawing upon elements of public administration, political science, economics, and sociology to help further our understanding of how localities can effectively respond to pressing issues related to housing and urban governance in general. 

My current research explores the policy process behind local rent control laws in California, including policy design, instrumentation, and feedback mechanisms. I am also a researcher at the Metropolitan Policy Center here at AU and have held additional Research Fellowships with the National Association of Counties (NACo) and the Translating Research into Action Center (TRAC). 

A Southern California native, I currently live in Washington, DC with my cat Cookie. In my free time I enjoy jamming on my bass guitar, swimming, shooting hoops, and exploring DC's many free museums and cultural attractions!
